Any child under 18 must also be accompanied by an adult (18+) at all times, especially inside the escape room experiences. No, our escape rooms do not allow children ages 11 years old or below. If they are 12 years old or older they can play as long as they can be accompanied by an adult. We have family-friendly rooms, and every escape room at The Basement is designed with safety in mind.
DOES THE BASEMENT HAVE THE SAME TYPE OF ESCAPE ROOMS AS HARBOR CITY?
No, The Basement has a different set of escape room experiences. Each of our rooms is designed to provide an immersive and entertaining experience that you won’t find anywhere else. We have family-friendly games as well as more challenging ones, so there will be something for everyone in your group!
WHO IS IN THE ESCAPE ROOMS WITH US?
At this time, all of our experiences are private. You won’t be playing with additional guests. Your group will only be sharing the room with a live actor/performer. Social distancing from your actor is required and will not impact the playability of your game.
DOES THE BASEMENT USE REAL LOCKS?
Yes, we use real locks and puzzles in our escape rooms. We also have digital components, so you’ll need to think outside of the box to solve all of our puzzles!
HOW MUCH TIME DO WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE ESCAPE ROOM?
Each escape room is designed for a specific amount of play time (60-minutes). We provide you with a countdown timer and all the clues you need to solve the puzzles and successfully exit the escape room. The timer will start counting down from 60 minutes as soon as your game begins.
Does Group Size Matter For A Birthday Party?
Yes, we recommend groups or teams of 4-6 people. We offer private bookings so that you can reserve the entire escape room and not have to worry about other players joining your game. This allows for a more intimate experience and works best for smaller groups.
