Dead and Breakfast is our VIP experience where your group plays through all four escape rooms back-to-back in one continuous storyline.
Instead of booking one room at a time, you’ll spend the morning or afternoon inside Edward Tandy’s world, moving through the full experience the way it was meant to be played. It is a longer, more immersive visit designed for groups who want the complete story, more time to solve, and a few extra perks along the way.
Yes. All four experiences are packaged together as one larger VIP event.
You’ll play through the full storyline from beginning to end, moving from room to room with rest time available between games. It is normal to feel like your brains are leaking out of your ears by the time you’re finished.
Dead and Breakfast includes all four experiences at our Los Angeles location:
The Basement, The Elevator Shaft, The Study, and The Courtyard.
You’ll play them back-to-back as one continuous Edward Tandy storyline.
You should plan to be in the building for approximately five to six hours, depending on how long your group takes to complete each room and how you choose to use your break time.
This experience includes extra time to complete each room, plus time in our event space so your group can rest, reset, and recover between adventures.
Yes, with one important limit. Our standard escape rooms are normally 45 minutes long, but with Dead and Breakfast, your group gets up to 90 minutes per experience.
That means you have much more time to explore, solve, and enjoy each room without feeling as rushed. It is a play-to-win style experience with a 90-minute cap per game.
Yes. During your Dead and Breakfast, your group will have time to rest between games in our event space.
This is the same larger space we use for corporate team-building events, birthday parties, bachelorette parties, and other private events. It gives your group a place to take a breather, enjoy snacks and refreshments, and reset before continuing deeper into the story.
Yes. Dead and Breakfast includes a selection of fruit, pastries, coffee, and other snacks for your group to enjoy between adventures.
It is not a full sit-down breakfast service, but it does include refreshments and light bites to help keep your team alive, or at least alert, as you make your way through all four rooms.
Dead and Breakfast includes the full four-room experience, extended gameplay time, and access to our event space during your visit.
Your group will also receive fruit, pastries, coffee, and snacks, plus a free souvenir group photo, which is normally an additional purchase.
If your group is larger than four guests, your team will be split for The Elevator Shaft portion of the experience.
One half of your group will begin The Elevator Shaft while the other half relaxes in our event space. Then the teams will switch. This allows larger Dead and Breakfast groups to still experience all four rooms while keeping each game within its proper capacity.
You do not need to bring anything in particular other than your wit, focus, and a little bit of courage.
We do recommend bringing your phone or a disposable camera so you can capture memories during your time with us, especially while your group is relaxing in the event space between games.
Dead and Breakfast is designed as a more complete VIP experience. You are not just playing multiple rooms, you are playing the full story in one visit, with more time, breaks between games, included refreshments, and a souvenir photo.
It is the best way to experience The Basement if you want the entire storyline, a less rushed pace, and a visit that feels more like a full event than a single escape room.
You can book Dead and Breakfast directly through our website. To secure the reservation, we require a deposit at the time of booking.
You can either pay the remaining balance when you arrive, or you can pay the full amount when you make the booking. The deposit simply reserves your date and time.
If your group is larger than the listed capacity for Dead and Breakfast, please give us a call at (866) 993-7227 or visit our contact us page.
